I love that she was a fairy yesterday. Even if it was in the middle of Home Depot. Yesterday we made a last minute trip to the hardware store with her Daddy. Clover was very persistent that she was a Fairy. She wasn't pretending. She was convinced that she was indeed Tinkerbell. So she was very adamant about wearing her fairy wings in Home Depot. Coincidentaly, they were orange. So amongst the tools, there was an orange fairy hopping up and down and flying through the isles.
Then we went by the toy store. What did she come home with? A toy hockey set which she played with all afternoon while screaming "GOAAAAL". I love that she still shows a bit of her tomboy side. I guess it's all about balance.
I love that she shares her mommy's taste in music but has her own favorites at the same time. Her favorite in this current moment in time is High School Musical 3. I know it's an odd thing for an almost three year old to be into but she likes what she likes. She also knows most of the lyrics and will belt them out at random times. You really have no other choice but to laugh and sing a long. Although, I have to admit that she knows the lyrics better than I do. She also loves Savage Garden, Kylie Minoque, Jason Mraz, Train and The Imagination Movers. Whenever one of her favorite songs comes on she yells "I like this song!"
She has her own way of seeing things, which I love. Seeing the world through her eyes makes me laugh so much. Yesterday, while it was overcast and kind of yucky outside, she declared "What a beautiful day". I looked at her sideways. I asked her what made it such a beautiful day and she declared "I have a cupcake". Even though I was a bit tired, I had to stop and laugh. She has such a perspective on things. She makes me LOL all the time.
