Finding a Little Magic

We took a quick trip to the Mouse House to get a peek at some Limited Time Magic.  It's their theme for this year.  They are doing some special shows and letting some classic characters out of wherever it is that they keep them.  We specifically went for the Salute to the Golden Horseshoe Revue.  It was so much fun.  The show was funny and very entertaining.

We had a great time.  I was a little worried about the weather since it was a little drizzly.  When I say drizzly I mean misty.  Not really a sprinkle or even really rain but everything was wet.  It seemed to be enough to keep some people away for awhile.  Just us hardcore disney fans out there in the wetness.  The mist kept the cold away so I was out there in a thin sweater.  I am always surprised by what people wear to the park.  While some people were out in shorts there were people out in parkas.  Seriously?  We were in Anaheim, not Alaska.

While we went for some Frontierland fun, my favorite part of the trip was the time we spent with Periwinkle.

Clover always seems to have a list of things she wants to do when we are there.  This time she really wanted to meet Periwinkle.  And she just happened to get a Periwinkle costume that she picked out before Christmas.  Which she wore all day.  I was surprised because she is very picky about her costumes.  She did however snap her wing while she was playing with it.  And that was the first thing she told Periwinkle when we got into Pixie Hollow.  Well, Periwinkle was not hearing that so they tried  putting their wings together to see if they would glow and heal.  They concluded that because they were the same people that it wouldn't work.  She spent a good amount of time with us.  She talked to Clover as if they were old friends.  There was a breeze and Periwinkle told Clover that Vidia (the fast flying wind fairy) must be out making it a bit chilly.  So Clover got really excited and said she saw her flying around up there.  Then for the rest of the evening any time she felt a breeze she looked for and called out to Vidia.  That was my favorite part.

Sometimes it seems like she is in such a hurry to grow up and be an adult.  She is really not the kid who enjoys being a child.  She has started telling me that she will be so much happier when she is a teenager.  So to see her acting like a kid and getting caught up in a little bit of Disneyland magic, that part really made me happy.
